The marketplace is full of people that do what I do: create marketing plans, execute strategies, write, create, etc. Their work is valuable and necessary for those that they serve. I might even say that their work is better than mine right now.
I do similar work, in that I create and maintain social media strategy, website content, and a range of other services. I think I’m best at writing, social media, and email marketing. What sets me a part from others?
There are more than just a few reasons why people get into business as a marketing consultant. Those could be fame, fortune, ego, etc. But here are six reasons why I am better than most in this industry.
I genuinely care about your success
Some people just want to do their work for their clients, get it done, and go to the next thing, often times a mixer at the local pub. Not me. I want to see your organization succeed at the bottom line. When you sell more tickets, gain more donors, or see an increase in merchandise sold, I know that has a positive effect on your bottom line so your whole organization succeeds.
I want to see the world changed for good
I love the performing arts and give testimony to the life changing affect of seeing a live performance. I am changed for the better! I walk out of the theatre with a lightness in my step, a new perspective, and a new wonder at life. I have just experienced the transformative power of the arts upon an individual and community. I want my work to bring that to you and your community.
I don’t use cookie-cutter programs
Part of the way I work is to get to know your organization. Your struggles, your wins, your opportunities, and most importantly, the goals you have set for yourself. Then, with the information I gather I want to create a custom strategy for your success that we can execute for a period of time. We will get you on the platforms it makes sense for you to be in, we will focus on your writing, and we will work closely with you to succeed.
I will test and test and test again
I believe that social media is a wonderful place to get your message out to the world and gain more audience members and see your shows full to capacity. But to get there we have to know what works. Part of my job is to test everything that we do to optimize our campaigns, messages, creative elements, etc. Since I’m not cookie cutter, then we need to test our custom program for you.
I know what is at stake
I have a background in theatre and choral performance. As a performer, I know what it feels like to make their first entrance to a house that’s sparsely attended. My energy went down and I felt dejected all at the same time. As a marketer, I don’t want that feeling to happen to anyone onstage. I know it’s all about the money and ticket revenue, but there’s really something else. The energy and excitement of a full house is what it’s about. Audible gasps from audience members, tears, bravos! That’s what it’s about.
