For instance, Facebook’s algorithm changes periodically and with that new shifts made in what it prioritizes for its users. Twitter changes the character limit for tweets sent. Further, new modes of communication come up with the creation of Stories that are part of the newsfeed on Facebook and Instagram. Death, the finality of it, is jarring, emotional, and leaves a huge void for those still living. Grief, pain, and loss are all experienced when a loved one dies and these emotions are never easily gone through.
However, if we knew when we would die then we’d have no choice to alter our behavior, decisions that we made, and experiences we would have. Life would have a renewed sense of purpose and desire. That’s why we have things like a “bucket list”, a list of things to do before we “kick the bucket”. This post is a little bit like a bucket list.

Periodically, too I think it’s good to check in with one’s self to regain or remind a sense of purpose as to why one does something. Over time, we can run the risk of it becoming “old hat” and what ever we set out at the beginning becomes “ho-hum”. This post serves kind of a sign post to remind me of my “why” and to help you along the way as well.
