November 10, 2020 by Jonathan Gaby

Have you ever thought about the intersection of these three things: Leadership, Influence, and Authority? I sure have. Especially lately, as I’m embarking on a new journey to explore the aspects of becoming a business consultant. Seemingly, there is a pretty straightforward relationship between the three areas. Pandemic Possibilities: What to Do During Global Uncertainty

October 13, 2020 by Jonathan Gaby

The world, as we know it, has been turned upside down and sideways with the global pandemic dealing with Coronavirus or COVID-19. Schools have shut down, businesses have gone to remote work-from-home scenarios, and our economy like dining, shopping, and entertainment has taken a hit.

Lives have been disrupted on all fronts. There is hardly any normal any longer. We are all sailing in new waters, never charted before. One thing I always ask myself in new situations, thanks to Gail Hyatt, is “What does this make possible?” In this post you’ll learn what I have accomplished during this time of pandemic and “new normal”

Adjusting to the New Normal: Transitioning to A New Way To Work

July 14, 2020 by Jonathan Gaby

The world is definitely in the midst of a massive shift in the economy. While disruption is always part of the equation, Covid-19 has proven itself to be a disruptor with a magnitude we’ve not seen in recent history. The effects it’s having in the economy are being felt in almost all sectors and verticals of the world. How can you transition to the new normal?

It’s certainly a challenge. Many workers have almost overnight had to transition from the bustling morning of getting ready to go to work in an office setting, to a slower, less stressful routine. In this post, I’ll share how someone can successfully transition into the new normal.

The Top Five Predictions for Social Media in 2020

October 9, 2019 by Jonathan Gaby

Industries are always in flux as new technologies come about and old ones fade away into the past. They say that the only thing constant is change, and I can think of no better industry than social media where things change at a rapid pace.

For instance, Facebook’s algorithm changes periodically and with that new shifts made in what it prioritizes for its users. Twitter changes the character limit for tweets sent. Further, new modes of communication come up with the creation of Stories that are part of the newsfeed on Facebook and Instagram. The year 2020 is coming up soon and in this post, I’d like to share with you my top five predictions for social media and marketing.

The Gaby / Hyatt / Davis Blog Post Template

October 3, 2019 by Jonathan Gaby

The creative process is often challenging and sometimes difficult to do easily. You need to bring in a wide range of sources, materials, and concepts to bear on the content you create and the things you create for it to be a quality piece of work.

This is certainly true of those who write for a living or create content on websites or print material where words matter. What if it were easier to combine many sources, and have a framework from which to work to help make writing or content creation easier and less frustrating? In this post I share with you my template for blog posts that you can use today!

Five Things To Do Before I Die

October 1, 2019 by Jonathan Gaby

We don’t like to discuss death in our family. It’s a certain taboo that doesn’t get much airtime. Death, the finality of it, is jarring, emotional, and leaves a huge void for those still living. Grief, pain, and loss are all experienced when a loved one dies and these emotions are never easily gone through.

However, if we knew when we would die then we’d have no choice to alter our behavior, decisions that we made, and experiences we would have. Life would have a renewed sense of purpose and desire. That’s why we have things like a “bucket list”, a list of things to do before we “kick the bucket”. This post is a little bit like a bucket list.

The “Why” Behind the Writing of This Blog

September 30, 2019 by Jonathan Gaby

The goal of writing a blog post every day is something that creates intrigue with those I share it with. They usually say, “Wow, that’s impressive! I wish I could do that.” The act of writing every day seems daunting and doubtful.

Periodically, too I think it’s good to check in with one’s self to regain or remind a sense of purpose as to why one does something. Over time, we can run the risk of it becoming “old hat” and what ever we set out at the beginning becomes “ho-hum”. This post serves kind of a sign post to remind me of my “why” and to help you along the way as well.

My Typical, Average, Usual, Okay Day

September 27, 2019 by Jonathan Gaby

Everyone has a typical day in their life. Often it’s a day that has been orchestrated for them by others or they have complete control over their day. Mine is a mix of the two.

Some people don’t have typical days because their activity always changes from day to day. Some people like it that way. In this post I’ll share with you my typical day and I’ll give some thoughts on how you can gain more control of your day or be more intentional.
